Black-British Civil Rights 1968-2018

The bias in schools gives the impression that racism and civil rights was an American issue and totally ignores the struggles Black British people endured. This interactive, multi-media presentation will focus on the 1968 Race Relations Act and the various groups and individuals who fought for it, monitored it and then improved it with the 1976 Race Relations Act..

We will cover education, housing, immigration, health, policing and Black Power

This event is organised in collaboration with Islington BAME forum and Every Voice
