Mental Health Services & the Black LGBT Community

Black Thrive is working in partnership with Lambeth Public Health, Naz Project, HERO, Black Out, Brixton Reel on a pilot site supported by Public Health England on a whole system approach around public health and the LGBT community. 

As part of this project, we would like to organise a number of focus groups between January and February to capture the lived experience of the African and Caribbean LGBT in the community around access and prevention agenda on mental wellbeing. 

The first meeting Wednesday 24th January 5.30-7.30pm Phoenix House 

We will pay vouchers to the value of £20 for your contribution in attendance to share your perspectives and viewpoints. 

Refreshments will be provided. 

Black Thrive, in addition, wants to start a dialogue with the community to ensure how are our plans activities over the 3-5 years is inclusive and reflections the intersectionality and the diversity of the black experience locally as part of our work plans, community engagement and research and evaluation plans.
